Concept TaxonomyManager


ConceptTaxonomyManager can be used to configure any number of taxonomies to implement corporate policies for areas like: document migration, compliance, sensitive information lockdown, identification of records, etc. conceptClassifier can then automatically determine which documents match each policy based on an understand if the concepts contained in the structured and unstructured text.

Then, conceptTaxonomyWorkflow can be used to perform configurable actions on these documents immediately after the automatic document classification decisions have been made, to automate application of the policy.

Many different actions can be configured, such as:

• Move or Copy a document from one repository to another
• Change the access rights to add or remove permissions
• Fetch appropriate metadata from external databases and use it to populate SharePoint properties
• Send an email notification

Taxonomy Workflow is applicable to a wide range of applications, such as:

• Document Migration (e.g. from the file system or SharePoint 2007 into SharePoint 2010)
• Preventing Data Exposures (e.g. documents containing Personally Identifiable Information)
• Records Management (e.g. changing Content Types for documents identified as records)
• Metadata Generation (e.g. automatically populating SharePoint properties from external data sources)
